Based on archive sources, personal legacy of the Bićanić family, as well as periodicals and written works, the paper analyses the life and career of Dr. Rudolf Bićanić, one of the champions and ideologists of the Croatian Peasants’ Party in the interwar period in old Yugoslavia,particularly his activity as one of the leaders of the economic association; member of Yugoslav Immigration Government (Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia); and his joining the National Liberation Movement during World War II.
