    Fanshawe College is pleased to announce the appointment of two new deans to the College’s academic leadership team.


    Dean, Faculty of Health, Community Studies and Public Safety
    Tony Mallette has been appointed dean of the College’s Faculty of Health, Community Studies and Public Safety, effective February 21, 2023.

    Mallette has worked at Fanshawe since 2020 as associate dean, School of Health Sciences and was appointed acting associate dean of the School of Public Safety in July 2022. 

    “During his time at Fanshawe, Tony has built and enhanced strong relationships with members of the College’s senior leadership and commands tremendous respect from faculty and community partners,” says Gary Lima, Fanshawe’s senior vice-president, academic services. “He is an outstanding choice to lead the Faculty of Health, Community Studies and Public Safety.”

    Mallette has served in various roles within the Ontario college system for over 18 years. Prior to joining Fanshawe in 2020, he held leadership and faculty roles at other institutions that represent both large and small college communities.
