Gloria Vanderbilt, the “poor little rich girl” who fascinated the nation during a scandal-tinged custody trial in the 1930s, became one of the most chronicled socialites of her era, and had a varied career as a model, actress, poet, painter, author and mass-marketer of designer jeans, has died. She was 95.
The death was announced by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, Vanderbilt’s youngest son.
