Chinese author Feng Jicai was honored Wednesday in Russia's cultural capital St. Petersburg with the publication of a bilingual edition of his works.

Feng said his energy and focus has shifted away from individual artistic creation towards greater social engagement in an effort to salvage the best of endangered Chinese folk traditions.

I will have a lot of touch. Maybe I will write down my feelings about eating noodles in the future.”
Feng Jicai spent his life in the four fields of painting, literature, cultural heritage protection and education. He called it the “four carriages”. For almost 20 years, he became invisible from the literary world and devoted himself to the rescue of folk cultural heritage.
